aw thats nice i did something like that too for my mom once. I cleaned the house when she was at work and picked her a small bouquet of wild flowers. she was so happy!

A few weeks ago, it was the Tin Food Drive. The Tin Food Drive is a fundraiser where you collect tined food for the needy. I participated in the Tin Food Drive and was hoping to raise $250. At the end of the Tin Food Drive I was told that I had raised $2550. I was amazed. But not only amazed at the amount I had raised but the smiles I had put on those peoples faces. 4 days after the fundraiser all of the needy and every one who participated got together for a gathering. I was just so proud of myself. I never knew that I would be able to just make someones christmas one to remember. Those people were amazing and I was thanked so much for helping them and putting those smiles on their faces. I just wanted to thank all of the people who helped us fundrais and all of the needy who inspired me to acheive anything in RAOK. I hope that they all have a wonderful christmas with many smiles and cheerful memories forever.

A few years ago, a friend of mine's sister was going through a divorce and not receiving any child support and was in a really bad way around Christmas. I had my boys take some of the child support money that they received from their dad each week and from Thanksgiving until Christmas they bought gifts for the sister's daughter. We would tie them in the bags really good so that the daughter wouldn't see them and we would leave a note that the sister could use them from "Santa" for her daughter. But we didn't sign our names. To this day she still doesn't know it was us!

Hi Jana, It was very kind of you to send that person a Christmas card. Sometimes acts of kindness can improve a relationship. I don't know why you "hate" this person but who knows, with that one act, you could become friends. I have known some really cranky people in my life that most people wouldn't even bother with but I find it a challenge to be as nice as I can be to them and before you know it that person is very nice to me. I have won them over if you will. Good for you, Jana and have a wonderful Christmas.

On my way into work in the mornings, or on my way to go Christmas shopping, instead of picking up just a coffee for myself, I pick up a few black coffees with cream and sugar on the side and then bring it to the toll booth workers as I get on the Thruway!!! Brrrr it is so cold up here in NY, I don't know how they do it sometimes!
