Several years ago, it was customary for my husband Harold to go to the car wash on Christmas Eve. He went to the local car wash and there was another young couple there washing the salt off their truck before they continued on their trip to family for Christmas. The couple had a young son that was about the same age as our two sons. This little boy thought he would be helpful and turned off the ignition to the family truck! The father, Joe was a little upset because the starter was gone and he could not start the truck. Harold offered assistance. They could not get the truck started again. Harold brought the family home to our house. There were no mechanics available for a few days so we opened gifts together, had a wonderful family meal together, and each of our 2 sons gave the little boy a gift! It was sad to see them leave a few days later, however, it was the best Christmas we ever had! Coincidently, their names were Joseph, Mary and Cain.

Terri, you and your husband are wonderful blessings, you have taught your sons what it means to be a good neighbor or rather a "Good Samaritan." Most of all, they have learned the gift of Sharing your Blessings - Your story is truely a "Random Act of Kind Love"

Just bought some Christmas presents for a impoverished student in my class. They'll be delivered from "Santa" today and placed under her tree for opening on Christmas!

I did the same thing. She was so excited with the jeans and other clothes, but she really liked the fingernail polish.

12/22/2010 10:09:45 PM - This is about my son Joel - escondido/calif/usa

well I know if we have an agenda for ourselfs the acts are only acting so I will not speak of mine but I will my sons, One day we were driving on a hot day in the middle of summer when we seen a homeless man with no shoes on the hot side walk. Joel said mom please pull over and so I did he took his new shoes and socks and gave them to the man. The man cried and sat on the curb and put them on straight away. The feeling that came from that was so beautiful and what I witnessed was a true and loving gift to not only the man in need of shoes but all of us. much love to all and have a blessed Christmas

I am a CCD teacher at our Saint Jude Parish for the Pre-Confirmation Class. For the last two year, and again this year (2010), my students and I share the spirit of Christmas by having a Christmas caroling at our local hospital. On the Sunday before Christmas day, right after our 8am mass, we visit the patients at the hospital and sing to them Christmas songs to cheer them up and to let them know through our songs to keep having HOPE and FAITH in our Loving Lord Jesus. As my students were singing, I looked over this room where a very old lady, maybe around her 70s, was laying in bed smiling watching us sing. Sitting next to her was daughter holding her hand and crying. As I watched the old lady smile, I felt the Joy that Jesus is still alive in heart; a sign of HOPE was in her smile. We also brought gifts donated by one of our local store to the young patients to cheer them up too, knowing that they were going to miss Christmas at home with families and openning presents on Christmas Day. One Chinese boy (maybe 4yrs old) with IV in his arm was strong enough to also put up a smile for us. Christmas is about touching peoples lives and sharing God's Love in Jesus Christ, especially when they are sick, alone and lonely, and feeling lost. I like to call this "Random Acts of Kind Love." Thank you my dear students for your RAoKL. Thank you also Joeten Ent. for the gift donation. God Bless and Happy Holidays from the CNMI. Ray
